Our Vision

In the United Reformed Church each local church is responsible under God for its worship programme and its witness and service to  the local community. We observe the gospel sacraments of baptism and holy communion and submit ourselves to the Bible as the highest authority for our  faith and action.

At our Church in Pagham we hold regular church meetings of  members, and an elected body of Elders shares the pastoral and spiritual leadership of the congregation with the Minister.
Like all URC churches we work in close co-operation with the local churches. We care for each other in the congregation, as well as extending our care to those in the wider community, recognising that the whole world is part of God's family. In our Sunday services we come together as a family of God to celebrate His love, power and blessings  and hear his word.

Our Vision “To make Jesus known through word and worship, and faith in action.”
Acts 20:20… “ I will not be afraid to share with you the good things of God, we will teach you both publicly and privately in your homes”.

Our Values:

Jesus first! Christ is central to everything that we are, and everything we do. So we will present our Christian faith in relevant ways to all.

People second! We are a church where everyone is listened to, valued and cared for spiritually, emotionally and physically.

Ourselves third! We will demonstrate sacrificial love for God and one another.
Worship with integrity, recognising that our worship is a way of life that honours God and our abiding in Him. We will be a worshipful, prayerful people, the people of God.

Generosity. We are generous in faith and in community, with our time, our finances, our gifts and talents. We manage our finances and personal resources in order to empower the church and enhance the Kingdom of God in this place.

Service. We offer all-inclusive Christian services to God through our regard for one another both within and without Pagham URC: St Ninian’s.

Enabling. We are an enabling church where gifts and abilities that are recognised are released appropriately, so that people are enabled to know and achieve their full potential in Christ.

Encouragement. We are an encouraging church where gifts and abilities are released appropriately, so that people are enabled to recognise and achieve their full potential in Christ.

All People Matter to us. Reaching people outside of the Kingdom of God’s family through demonstration of authentic personal faith, personal relationships, public service, care for the poor and oppressed, local and global Mission/Storytelling. All are invited to join with us as we journey to life in Christ.
